A new Used Tires Programme has been launched throughout Ontario. The County of Wellington is participating as a registered collector and will accept tires at no charge at all waste facilities.
Click here for waste facility information, locations, and hours of operation.
For additional tire drop-off locations, visit the Ontario Tire Stewardship Website and its list of registered collectors by area (see the pdf "Locations to drop off tires in Southwestern Ontario").
GO GREEN by bringing used tires to a registered collector! Doing so will keep tires from being burned or landfilled. Tires will be recycled into new products such as: under-the-hood automotive products, flooring, sports fields, playground surfaces, and construction-related equipment and materials.
Acceptable Tires Include:
On-Road Vehicle Tires
- passenger, small RV and trailer, light truck and temporary spare
- motorcycle and golf cart
- free rolling farm
- medium truck
Off-Road Vehicle Tires
- agricultural drive and logger skidder
- forklift, construction equipment
- small, medium and giant off-the-road
