The County of Wellington offers a series of community grants on an annual basis. Community grants are offered to provide financial assistance for not-for-profit community organizations and events. Grants will be allotted a maximum of $2000.00 per application. All requests over $2000.00 will be considered by the Administration, Finance and Personnel Committee.
Organizations that fall under the following categories are exempt from the formal grant application process: All Agricultural Societies within Wellington County, Wellington 4-H, Wellington Farm and Home Safety, Wellington County Ploughmen's Association, Wellington Soil and Crop Improvement. In order to apply for a grant, a letter must be sent to the County from the exempted organization(s). The letter must identify the need for a grant for the year in question and the general intent of the use of the funds. The County must receive the letter annually before any grant funds are to be forwarded to the organization(s).
Council may give special consideration to entities that do not meet all criteria but are requesting funds for emergency or disaster relief.
Deadline: These letters must be received by November 30 in the given year.
