Plug’n Drive is a non-profit organization committed to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in order to maximize their environmental and economic benefits. Since 2011, Plug’n Drive has established itself as a Canadian leader in the electric vehicle industry, a trusted and unbiased source of information about electric cars, charging stations and the electricity sector.

“We are seeing an increase in EVs being adopted in Canada, but at the same time, there are still many who have questions and concerns about costs, environmental impacts and the ability to recharge,” says Cara Clairman, President and CEO of Plug’n Drive. “Plug’n Drive is here to help educate and engage consumers without the pressure of purchasing.”

“We are pleased to be hosting the EV Education Trailer for our community members and also our County staff,” says Karen Chisholme, Climate Change and Sustainability Manager from The County of Wellington. “With few dealerships having EVs available for test drives right now, this is a great opportunity to explore EVs to make more informed decisions when ordering their new vehicles.”

“Over time we will be transitioning our County fleet vehicles to EV as the benefits are not only environmental but economical,” says Wellington County Warden, Kelly Linton. “With potential savings of over $2,000 per vehicle per year on maintenance and fuel, and less potential for breakdowns due to far fewer moving parts, EV is the smarter option.”
