Spring Rural Romp

The Spring Rural Romp is a self-guided tour of local farms, markets and greenhouses in Mapleton, Minto and Wellington North. Horse Day Erin

Saturday, May 27, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Erin

Ponies, Puppies and Unicorns. A celebration of the noble horse mixed in with a whole lot of fun! Events include Ontario Equestrian Kids Zone, pony rides, face painting, equine education and live horses/breed presentations, trailer demonstration, farrier/hot shoeing demos, horse heritage exhibit/antique stagecoach, live music, Ontario Mounted Unit: ride and precision drill small hooves /big fun presentation four paw flying fur and frisbee/agility dog show, and Horse vs Dog Race-off!  This is a rain or shine event - come dressed for the weather. 


 Fergus Fibre Festival

Saturday, May 27, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Fergus

Celebrating Ontario Fibre, Indie Dyers, Fibre crafts (Knitting, Crochet, Spinning, Felting, Weaving) and more. There will be lots of fibrey fun on the menu and the town is preparing to turn out their best for all the visitors anticipated! Last year was a huge success and the hope is to do even better this year, so get ready! There’s going to be over 50 vendors, farms and animals, exhibitors, food trucks, pipers, sit’n’knit areas and more! Come and see all that the quaint town of Fergus has to offer when the event is set up in the picturesque downtown along the backdrop of the glorious Grand River!


Centre Wellington Show n' Shine

Saturday, May 27, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Fergus

Join the Township of Centre Wellington at the Show n’ Shine event at the CW Community Sportsplex! Come see the great display of hot rod and custom cars at the event! Staff will be on hand with vehicles and equipment that all ages can enjoy “trying out” and learn about what staff do daily to keep our community safe and thriving.


41st Belwood Lions Pike Derby

Saturday, May 27, 5:00 am - 8:00 pm - Sunday, May 28, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Belwood

Belwood and District Lions Club annually provides an opportunity for anglers from all walks of life to enjoy a few days on beautiful Belwood Lake and take the challenge of catching the longest pike and walleye. First prize is $2000.00 for the longest pike caught, and $1000.00 for the longest walleye, as well as runner up prizes and multitude of Youth prizes. Also, every child entrant 8 years and under is guaranteed a prize. Add that to our raffle prizes and door prizes, and new for 2023 - 'grab bags' - every fish brought into the dock to be measured that meets the minimum competition length will win a 'grab bag' with a surprise gift. This applies to both Adult and Youth anglers. It all adds up to a host of ways not to leave empty handed. Check back often as we add the details on our site.
