The Tourism Adaptation and Recovery Programme was created to help small and medium sizes enterprises (SMEs’) and not-for-profits (NFPs’) in the arts, culture and tourism sector by supporting one-time adaptation and re-opening costs incurred to continue operating post COVID-19.
The following two streams were available:
- Physical Adaptation
SMEs could apply for up to $20,000 per business towards implementation of health and safety protocols and/or renovations or equipment to accommodate social distancing. In order to support as many businesses as possible, most grants were anticipated be $5,000. A minimum 20% match was required by the SME or NFP for the amount applied. - Technology Investment
Eligible SMEs could apply for $5000 for digitizing businesses or services such as virtual queues, online ordering, timed entry ticketing, and touch free payments.
