Berry Picking

While our fresh berry season might be quite short, it is so delicious, so don't miss it! Here is the seasonal availability for some of the most popular Ontario Berries:

  • Strawberries: June and July
  • Raspberries: July until September
  • Blueberries (high bush): July and August
  • Goosberries: July and August
  • Currants: July and August
  • Haskap: June and July

You can find them at your local farmers' markets, farm gate or try your hand at U-Pick.


Here are some great locations to pick your own (PYO). Make sure you call ahead or watch the farms' social media feed for up to date information on the U-pick. Availability can change quickly, depending on the weather.

This berry and flower farm has a lot to offer. Beside berries, they carry a variety of other items for sale at their farm gate stall including asparagus, potatoes, beets, carrots, squash, pumpkins, tomatoes, beans, peas, flowers, honey, and jam, to name a few. Please note it is cash sales only and no pets.

Visit for pick your own strawberries or grab some ready picked strawberries and raspberries. Also offering in season (May-October or late fall) a colourful array of garden produce, vegetables, preserves and apples. Weekly CSA boxes are available at the farm.

Strawberries - Unavailable for the 2023 season

Ignatius Farm has evolved to become a model for organic agriculture and the mentoring of organic growers. You can enjoy their u-pick strawberries starting at the end of June. They also offer a community shared agriculture (CSA), and community garden plots. Sign up to their newsletter for updates.

Picked or pick your own. Their produce is grown and sold fresh on the farm! You can also find chicken, turkey, omega-3 eggs, pears, apples, peaches, flowers, and a variety of in-season veggies. They carry maple syrup, honey, summer sausage, jams, jellies and relishes. *Please note it is cash only.

Strawberries, Pumpkins - PYO berries is unavailable for 2023

Offering pre-picked strawberries in the farm store, and pumpkins in season. Limited quantities available, first come first served. Be sure to try their strawberry frozen yogurt or stay for lunch at their on-farm cafe. Visitors are encouraged to visit the modern dairy barn or spend some time with the goats, pigs, chicken and donkeys in the demonstration barn.

There is plenty to pick at Marcy's berry patches. The farm boasts a total of acres of berries plus sweet corn. You can pick-your-own or browse their farm gate stall for freshly picked produce. Happy tasting!
