Saturday, June 23
Sunday, June 24

We invite you to spend a weekend in beautiful Guelph/Wellington and explore our vibrant local food scene. Arrive on Saturday, June 23 (by car, bus or train) and spend the day discovering downtown Guelph's unique shops, eateries and brewery. If you arrive before noon, browse the historic Guelph Farmers' Market in the heart of downtown for excellent eats, unique local foods and handmade items.

Check in at your home away from home, the historic London House B and B in the upscale Exhibition Park neighbourhood, steps away from the downtown core and get cozy in their luxurious Masters Suite. Enjoy excellent hospitality and browse through the content of your local food goodie bag put together by local artisans and entrepreneurs. Get inspired by Natalina's Kitchen's new 'Bringing Homemade Back' cookbook and follow her on social media for more mouthwatering dishes, videos and tour ideas. For dinner, head over to Miijidaa Restaurant + Cafe and savour their unique take on Canadian Food. Their menu is influenced by the land and the cuisines around us, including First Nations, French, English and other immigrant-inspired flavours. After dinner, take in local sites such as the Basilica of our Lady the Immaculate towering over downtown, enjoy the vibrant nightlife or take a stroll through the beautiful residential side streets with century brick and stone homes.

After a scrumptious breakfast at London House, take the free shuttle to the Taste Real Local Food Fest, held at Ignatius Jesuit Centre and Farm at the northern edge of Guelph. This vibrant festival is a feast for all senses - including chefs preparing delicious local foods, craft beers and local cider, farm fresh foods, flowers and plants in the farmers' market area, wagon rides through the farm property and a Hillside Festival sponsored stage featuring local performers and more. Learn new food skills at the Minga Skill Building Hub's free workshop area with their many hands–on workshops and demos. Learn how to ferment your own vegetables, make sausages, grow culinary mushrooms, make your own cider, keep backyard chickens, composting, or take a foraging tour to identify wild edibles.

You'll be returning home with a full belly, and hopefully, lots of great memories (and a full basket of local foods)!
