Workshops and Classes

Are you an aspiring chef? Do you want to learn new skills and make products that can be found in or outside of the kitchen? Workshops and classes are a great way to develop various skills and learn a new recipe or cooking technique.

Guelph and Wellington County are hosts to a variety of different classes for all levels of expertise.

Fanjoy Culinary and Wellness Centre

Chef Pam Fanjoy’s innovative Junior Chef Culinary programs are cooking up change that lasts a lifetime for youth and their families. More than just cooking classes, these workshops provide a safe space for teens, young adults and LGBTQ2S+ non binary youth learning culinary fundamentals and life skills. In person and online classes available!

Heartwood Farm and Cidery

A diverse 42-acre ecosystem of mixed pasture, fruit and nut orchards, woods and wetlands. Enjoy on-farm cider, orchard care workshops and a variety of farm and culinary events.

Krisha Indian Cooking School

Learn how to cook authentic Indian dishes. Let owner/instructor Chitra take you on a flavourful journey through South and North Indian cuisine. Whether you pick the virtual or in person options, all classes are hands-on so you can learn and recreate the dishes at home. In person and online classes available!

La Fontana

Passionate about local, sustainable and seasonal food, join Denis as he guides you through a hands-on pasta making session. Afterwards you can enjoy a flavourful dinner with your creation along with charcuterie and cheeses as appetizers. Beverages are included! Contact them directly for private workshops and cooking classes.

Magnolia Fine Foods and Catering

Join Magnolia Fine Foods for a wide variety of cooking classes year-round. Whether you want to try your hand at Asian fusion cuisine or learn how to cook a Thanksgiving Dinner- they’ve got you covered. (Classes currently on hold, check their website for future dates)

Minga by 10C

Learn how to bake sourdough bread, make sausages, ferment kimchi and much more. From preserving to foraging, Minga's extensive offerings of skill building workshops likely has something for everyone. Natalina's Kitchen

Let Natalina, our own local Italian Food guru, show you how to create authentic, delicious Italian food in one of many virtual or hands-on cooking classes. If you have appetite for more, join Natalina on culinary trips to her family's roots in Southern Italy or to the Niagara Wine Region where she shares her passion of food, wine and travel. Check out her fantastic new cookbook and bring Italian flavours to your home. Online classes available!

Woolen Mill Kitchen

Experience hands-on children’s cooking classes and real-life learning and hosting events, as well as adult ‘educate and eat’ events and corporate culinary team-building opportunities.
