Book Club Sets

What is a Book Club Set?

A Book Club Set is a bag with 10 copies of the same title in it that may be signed out to a designated member of a Book Club. The bag also includes literature to help facilitate discussion about the book.

Find a list of available titles.

How to borrow them:

One person in the book group needs to apply for a special book club card and take responsibility for the book club set. You will need personal address ID (such as a driver's license) to get a membership.

Decide which title you would like, and when you would like it, then ask a staff member to submit your request for you. Sets may be reserved for future dates, depending on their availability.

Book club sets can be sent to any Wellington County Library branch for pickup. The loan period for each set is six weeks (no renewals). Your club can have two sets out at one time.

Late charges are $1 per set per day. Regular lost book charges apply.

Information for the Book Club Leader:

Each bag contains 10 copies of the title, an information package with book reviews, information about the author, and (usually) discussion questions. There is also a sign-up sheet for the leader to keep track of who has which book.

How to return a set:

Return your book club set to any Wellington County Library branch. The entire set must be returned together (10 books, the information folder and the bag). Sets must be returned at a circulation desk, not through a book drop.

Alternate formats:

For some book club set titles, Wellington County Library has other formats such as large print, book on CD, eBook or downloadable audiobook.
