TD Summer Reading Club 2020 Logo

 

TD Summer Reading Club (TD SRC) is a national and bilingual summer reading programme that encourages joy of reading and builds confidence.

Kids can register online at www.tdsummerreadingclub.ca to access free ebooks, a web comic, and share book recommendations, jokes, silly stories and more with children across the country. Participants can also vote for their favourite summer read as two books go head-to-head each week in a Battle of the Books. Join Miss T The Bubble Queen as she wields a huge range of exciting bubble tools and perform tricks to wow, surprise and enchant . . . from the teeniest bubbles, humungous bubbles the size of a mammoth, square bubbles, bubble caterpillars, flaming bubbles, glow in the dark bubbles, bubbles filled with smoke, whatever can be done with bubbles to break the barriers of science we do.

Mr J presents songs and stories for children of all ages.  With over 15 years experience as a classroom teacher, Mr J regularly commands an audience of children on and off the stage.  You are sure to be entertained - singing, dancing, clapping, and listening along to songs played on guitar, ukulele and Mr. J's foot tambourine!

Virtual Author Event with Kenneth Oppel - Tuesday, October 6 at 1:30 pm

Join Wellington County Library in conversation with Kenneth Oppel to explore his newest book, Hatch. Fans left desperate for more at the end of Bloom will dive into this second book of the trilogy. Kenneth Oppel expertly escalates the threats and ratchets up the tension in this can’t-read-it-fast-enough adventure with an alien twist. This event is recommended for students aged 10-14. Classrooms and schools are welcome to participate in this virtual Zoom event. Presented in partnership with Eden Mills Writers’ Festival.
