Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden is a bright and cheery collection of perennials designed to provide refuge for pollinators and includes nectar and host plants to feed all stages of the butterfly life cycle.

Vegetable Garden

The Vegetable Garden, located west of the frame barn, is packed full of many of the fruits and vegetables that would have been grown on site during the 1930s and 40s.

Woodland Garden

This cool and inviting garden is home to many lovely specimens of our own local flora.

Cottage Garden

The Cottage Garden is a representation of a typical practical home garden from the 1870s with a selection of herbs for cooking and healing and fruit bearing plants. There is also a small orchard of crab apples to represent the large apple orchard that was on the property when it was a working farm.

Victorian Garden

The Victorian Garden which upholds the very formal aspect of a garden is bordered with yew hedges.  The beds are home to many heritage perennials such as phlox, spurge, obedient plant, and many varieties of roses.
