Municipal Tree Day

What is a Municipal Tree Day?

Every spring the Green Legacy distributes trees at no charge to our seven member municipalities. Each of these municipalities receives 5,000 seedlings that are handed out to residents on a first come, first served basis. A variety of hardwood and coniferous species are available.  Arrive early for best selction.

Species Available in 2020:

White Spruce, Norway Spruce, Red Pine, White Pine, White Cedar, Silver Maple, Red Oak, Bur Oak, American Elm.  Need more information?  Check out the Ontario Tree Atas

Have you Submitted a Tree Order Request?

Your trees will be available to pick up from your local municipality if you have requested less than 500 trees.

NOTE: To pre-order trees, please visit the Tree Order page or contact the Green Legacy Programme.  Payment for mulch mats and rodent guards will NOT be accepted at Municipal Tree Day locations.
