Municipal Tree Day

What is a Municipal Tree Day?

Every spring the Green Legacy distributes trees at no charge to our seven member municipalities. Each of these municipalities receives 5,000 seedlings that are handed out to residents on a first come, first served basis. A variety of hardwood and coniferous species are available.

Species Available in 2019:

White Spruce, Norway Spruce, Red Pine, White Cedar, Tamarack, Sugar Maple, Red Oak, Black Walnut, American Elm.  Need more information?  Check out the Ontario Tree Atas

Have you Submitted a Tree Order Request?

In April, you will be sent confirmation via email notifying you of the trees you will receive.

Your trees will be available to pick up from your local municipality if you have requested less than 500 trees.

When picking up "first come, first served trees", remember to bring a bag or box to take your trees home in.
