Re:Collections: Connections Fibre Artists

February 27 to July 4, 2021

The Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) is pleased to welcome Connections Fibre Artists back for another exciting show. For this exhibit, WCMA staff selected some of their favourite items from the collection, and the artists used them as inspiration for creating their art. Visit the museum to learn why these artifacts are so special to us, and how their unique stories have inspired beautiful, creative fibre art.

Connections Fibre Artists is dedicated to the exploration of fibre – cloth, thread, paper and mixed media, as an art form. Established in 1999, members come from diverse creative backgrounds, and are connected by this common thread. Artists work together to raise the awareness of fibre art, and to develop their talents by exchanging ideas and sharing new skills and techniques.
