Emergency Business Sustainability Fund

The Keep Well – Emergency Business Sustainability Fund will provide low-interest loans to Wellington County businesses to help support them during the economically challenging period brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

How to apply

The Keep Well Fund will be administered by Wellington-Waterloo Community Futures (WWCF) and the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). Both not-for-profit organizations are supported by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario). Please note, no loan applications will be accepted after April 23, 2020.

 Keep Well - Fund Details

 Loan Information
  • Maximum loan size is $25,000 for working capital
  • Loans will generally be approved based on two months working capital requirements
  • 3% annual interest
  • No principal or interest payments for the first six months of the loan. Flexible repayment terms and no prepayment penalties.
  • Personal Guarantee as security
 Application Process
  • Submit a completed Keep Well – Emergency Business Sustainability Fund Application to either Wellington-Waterloo Community Futures (WWCF) or the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation (SEDC)
  • Submit your business' most current financial statements (in house statements are sufficient)
  • Documentation will be reviewed by WWCF or SEDC staff for completeness
  • Applications will be reviewed by WWCF or SEDC Boards for approval
  • When applications are approved by either the WWCF or SEDC Board, loan documents will be prepared and sent to loan applicants for signature
  • Funds are normally made available within three days after the signed Letter of Offer is returned to WWCF or SEDC staff.
  • Please note that no loan applications will be accepted after April 23, 2020.
 Costs
  • Applicants are responsible for any legal costs to complete the loan. These funds can be paid from the proceeds of the funds to be borrowed.
