Can I apply to more than one position at a time? |
Yes. You are able to apply for all positions that match your qualifications and experience. Please note, if you update your resume or cover letter it will be attached to that application and the new version will replace the previous version that was saved in your Candidate Profile. |
Are there cut off dates for sending resumes/applications? |
Yes. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm on the date of the application deadline. |
Will I be contacted after my resume is submitted? |
All resume submissions will be acknowledged with an email confirming the receipt of your application. Additional correspondence from our office will be made by email only if you have been selected for an interview. No phone calls please. |
Does the County of Wellington hire summer students? |
Yes. Typically, we begin accepting applications for summer student positions in January of each year. In order to qualify for summer student employment, students must be currently attending a secondary or post-secondary institution on a full-time basis, and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the fall semester. |
Does the County of Wellington hire seasonal positions? |
The County of Wellington typically posts for Snow Plow Driver positions in September of each year. We also typically post for Tree Nursery Worker positions in January of each year. |
Do I need to get a Police Vulnerable Sector Check to apply for a job? |
No. You do not need a Police Vulnerable Sector Check to apply for a job at the County of Wellington. However, if you are offered the position, you will be required to provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check if it is a requirement of the position. |
Will I be asked to provide references for the position I applied to? |
Yes. We perform reference checks for all positions. You will typically be asked to provide the names of two supervisory references in advance of your interview. |

Why wasn't I contacted for the job I applied to even though I'm qualified? |
