Wellington County Satisfaction Survey

We want to hear from you!

The County of Wellington is working with Ipsos to conduct a satisfaction survey by telephone (cell phone and landline) and direct mail. The survey will begin in late April and run until late May. Select residents will be asked to share their experiences with County programmes and services.

The results of the survey will help the County better understand the needs and expectations of residents and will accompany the County’s 2023 Strategic Plan.

The satisfaction survey will identify opportunities and challenges for County Council to address. We want to continue to deliver and improve responsible public service to our diverse communities.

The results of the survey will be made public this summer.

Survey Participants

Ipsos will mail 5000 letters to a random selection of households and 400 residents will complete the survey by phone. Households will be selected at random within the County of Wellington so that we can accurately represent and understand the experiences of residents. Quotas and statistical weighting will be applied to the survey sample to ensure representativeness according to key demographic data from the most recent census. This is a common approach for conducting statistically valid surveys of this kind.

For the mail survey, Ipsos will utilize a list of all residential address provided by Canada Post to randomly select households to participate. For the phone survey, both landline and cell phone households will be randomly selected from phone directories of the County.

Completing the Survey

Selected households will receive an invitation letter in the mail with a link to complete the survey online or a phone number to contact Ipsos to complete over the survey over the phone.

For the phone survey, both landline and cell phone households will be randomly selected from phone directories of the County and will be called directly from an Ipsos representative.
