Solid Waste Services (SWS) offers various options for household battery recycling.
SWS has partnered with County libraries for the Library Battery Recycling Programme. County residents can drop their alkaline batteries (up to D size) into the top of Battery Tubes, located in all 14 Wellington County Library Branches. There is no charge to participate.
You may also take alkaline batteries to the Mobile HHW Depot and he Select Materials HHW Depots.
More options on disposal locations are available on the Call2Recycle website.
