Mobile HHW Unit

Notice:

All County waste facilities have re-opened with their regular operating hours. Reuse Centres will remain closed until further notice.

The County Mobile HHW Depot is now open. View the 2020 Mobile HHW Depot Schedule.

As part of the re-opening process, please note the following:
- Sites may be extremely busy. Expect significant delays and wait times. Please be patient.
- If possible, visit waste facilities during the week. Saturdays are typically the busiest day.
- The use of masks or face (mouth/nose) coverings is strongly encouraged.
- Please use credit or debit for payment, preferably the tap function.
- Maintain physical distancing, and be expedient on site.
- Follow staff directions.

The health and safety of the public and staff is the top priority as the waste facility services are being restored. Learn more about waste facility hours and locations. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.

In 2018, 899 orange HHW boxes were given out to residents visiting the Mobile HHW Depot.

On July 1, 2016 a new service was added to increase opportunities for County residents to safely dispose of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) materials.

A Mobile HHW Depot has been made available at each of the County's six waste facilities, and two County roads garages for a period of one month before moving on to the next County waste facility or roads garage. The depot is open during the facility's regular operating hours, with the exception of Riverstown, and the roads garages where it is open three days per week.

There is no charge to drop off HHW materials; however maximum quantity limits will apply, and you must register with the HHW Technician.

Below is the Mobile HHW Depot schedule for 2020. Please call the office or ask a site attendant if you have any questions or would like specific start and finish dates for any location.
