Monday Afternoon Choir Assistant

We are looking for a volunteer to assist our Recreation Therapist in the afternoon choir program in one of our Dementia Care neighbourhoods, helping residents with following along in the choir books and sitting with them during the program between 2:30 and 3:45pm

Monday Afternoon Assistance for Residents Playing Bingo

We are looking for a volunteer to assist those residents who enjoy the game of Bingo but would benefit from 1-1 assistance. This role would consist of a Monday afternoon shift from 1:45pm to 3:00pm

Tuesday Afternoon Euchre Game

We are looking for a volunteer to facilitate a Euchre Afternoon with a small group of residents from 3:30 to 5:00.  *The day can be flexible if another day of the week works better for you!

One to One Visiting

Some of our residents would greatly benefit from one to one conversational visits, one to one games, and strolls outside in the nice weather. *AT THIS TIME, LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING VISITS ARE IN NEED, AND WOULD BE BENEFICIAL FOR SOME OF OUR RESIDENTS

Dining Room Assistance

For any evening meal from 5:00 to 6:30pm, or weekend meals with shifts from 8:00 to 9:30am, 12:00 to 1:30pm or 5:00 to 6:30pm

Musical Entertainment

For occasional special events and theme programmes. Just one hour of sharing your musical talents will bring joy to our residents!

Programme Support

For our special events and outings happening throughout the year. This role occurs on an occasional basis and is not a weekly commitment; time and day will vary.

Church Assistance

Our Recreation Therapists appreciate assistance bringing residents to and from our in-house church service every Sunday; this shift runs from 1:30 to 3:00pm

Hair Salon Support

We are looking for volunteer assistance for our Hair Dresser for occasional mornings or afternoons during the week when our regularly-scheduled volunteers are unavailable. In this role, you would be assisting residents from various neighbourhoods to our in-house hair salon. This role involves socializing, assisting with light tasks and a good amount of walking throughout the building. No hair salon experience necessary!
