During the construction of the new Badley Bridge, all businesses will remain open. Please follow the detour route (outlined in orange) to access downtown Elora.

Badley Bridge Progress Key Dates
1. Close the road at the bridge and begin bridge demolition January 2020
2. Construct bridge piers and abutments February/March 2020
3. Complete piers and north/south abutments April/May 2020
4. Install bridge girders and forming work June/July 2020
5. Concrete pour and pave the bridge deck, install street lights August/September/October 2020
6. Open the bridge to traffic November/December 2020

Gateway Feature

  • Phase 1: Disconnect Bridge from Abutments
  • Phase 2: Lift Bridge onto Barge
  • Phase 3: Barge Floats the Bridge across River
  • Phase 4: Bridge is Removed
