The plan identifies existing and proposed routes for commuting and leisure active transportation. More information about trails and routes in each municipality can be found here:

Electric Vehicles

The County of Wellington is working to make it easier for our community and its visitors to transition to electric vehicles. The Regional EV Charging Network Strategy maps out a plan to increase EV chargers in Wellington County and our neighbouring communities.

Individual charging their electric vehicle from their home garage.Recent announcements about electric pickup trucks coming to market and advancements in battery performance, EV manufacturers have addressed the needs of rural residents. With ranges of up to 400 km on a single charge, rural drivers can confidently complete most daily trips without the need to recharge. And if you do, access to charging infrastructure is increasing in Wellington County and surrounding areas. The County of Wellington provide three fast chargers (Puslinch library, behind the Old Poste Office in Guelph, Arthur library).
