Dr. Shawn McDonald is the founder of McDonald Chiropractic, a chiropractic clinic located in downtown Harriston. The clinic offers services such as chiropractic, acupuncture, custom orthotics, individual counselling, and reflexology. McDonald Chiropractic celebrated their grand opening on May 2, 2023.

As a commercial building owner, Dr. McDonald undertook the project of creating residential units to his building. Through the project, Dr. McDonald was able to give back to his community, hiring local tradesmen that included electrician, plumbers, and using local supplies. Dr. McDonald stated that he did not really have any expectations prior to participating in the programme. “I was not sure what was available,” he stated. “Then, Belinda mentioned that there could be some help, that there might be some funds available,” he added.
“It was great and seamless. The paperwork was fairly minimal, and the timeline was reasonable,” he answered when asked about his overall experience in the programme. “Anyone thinking about applying [should] just apply and take advantage of the programme. We’re very fortunate here at the Town of Minto.” As of the interview, Dr. McDonald is pleased to report that the building is fully occupied.
When asked to summarize his experience with the programme, Dr. McDonald answers “It’s a great programme. It’s very helpful.”
