Project Lifesaver helps families protect members who may wander. Typically, these are people living with autism, Alzheimer’s, Down syndrome, Acquired Brain Injury, or other types of Cognitive Impairment. These individuals can be equipped with a 1-ounce wrist transmitter that sends a radio signal which can be tracked up to a 2-kilometer radius. The system operates all day, every day of the year. Once notified by caregivers that an individual has gone missing, specially trained police officers use mobile tracking equipment to find them.
