Internet Access
Not everyone has easy access to WiFi connectivity or digital devices. Below are some additional tools and resources the County can offer to support connectivity and digital literacy.
Library Hotspots
Did you know you can borrow internet hotspot devices from your local Wellington County Library? One hotspot provides unlimited internet use during a 7-day checkout period for up to 15 devices at a time. There are a limited number of devices in circulation, so placing a hold will be required.
Digital Access Guide
The Guelph-Wellington Digital Equity Coalition works to increase the community’s access to internet, skills, and digital devices. The Connect Digital Equity Resource Guide is a list of locations where there are services such as:
- Free public WiFi
- Use of borrowed digital devices, such as computers or tablets
- Digital skill-building events
- Charging outlets for personal devices
