About Social Services

As the designated Service System Manager for the Wellington-Guelph service delivery area, the County of Wellington plans and delivers child care and early years services, housing services, homelessness prevention and response, and income support programmes through its Children’s Early Years, Housing Services, and Ontario Works divisions. Through initiatives such as Service Integration and the Social Services Help Centre, the Department is also working to create a more coordinated, accessible, and person-centred system of support. Together with community partners, Social Services helps strengthen wellbeing, resiliency, and opportunity for residents across Wellington County and the City of Guelph.
