Aboyne, Ont. – Mark your calendars, the highly anticipated Christmas Market is returning to the Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) for its third year. On Friday, December 1 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, December 2 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, you’re invited to experience the event which features more than 70 local artisans.
“The Christmas Market is a tremendous opportunity to support local artisans while sourcing one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts for the holidays,” said Museum Programming Supervisor Katie Clarke. “It’s more than a market – it’s become a festive holiday season tradition that promises to get the whole family in the holiday spirit.”
The Christmas Market includes:
- Horse-drawn wagon rides Friday and Saturday
- Live music Friday and Saturday featuring Bob MacLean and Natalie Reis
- Get up close and personal with alpacas from Harmony Meadows on Friday and Saturday
- Kids crafts and activities Friday in the Museum sunroom and Saturday at the Aboyne Library.
- Santa will be on site Saturday and available for pictures at the Aboyne Library from
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. - Local food and beverages from Berlin 95 (Friday only), Butter and Cream Bakery and BBQ, and Blissful Breeze.
The event is held on the grounds outside the Museum and in the Museum galleries. Admission is by donation.
