Ottawa, Ont. – Today, at the annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference, County Councillor Diane Ballantyne was re-elected to the AMO Board of Directors, representing the County Caucus for the 2026-2028 term.
The AMO Board of Directors is made up of municipal representatives from communities across Ontario. The board meets five times a year to discuss key municipal issues and develop policy positions and reports; it also serves as a support system for municipalities, including offering cost-saving programmes, training opportunities and other helpful tools.
“Congratulations to Councillor Ballantyne on being re-elected to the AMO Board of Directors, representing the County Caucus,” said Warden Chris White. “Councillor Ballantyne will be a very strong voice and advocate for Wellington County and Ontario residents.”
Ballantyne is one of 47 elected and non-elected members of this governing body of AMO. AMO works to make our province’s municipal governments more effective by connecting all 444 municipalities throughout Ontario, so they can work together to achieve shared goals and meet common challenges.
“I am honoured to continue serving on the AMO Board of Directors representing the County Caucus for 2026-2028,” commented Councillor Diane Ballantyne. “Across Ontario, municipalities are facing complex challenges with limited resources. I look forward to continuing the Board’s important work and advocating for residents in Wellington County and across Ontario.”
Councillor Ballantyne was first elected to Wellington County Council representing Ward 6 in 2018.
