WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON – At the January 11 Library Board meeting, Councillor Mary Lloyd was elected Chair for the 2023-2024 term.
Councillor Lloyd was appointed to County Council in 2018 after a seat was left vacant by Senator Rob Black. Councillor Lloyd has previously served on the Social Services, Planning and Information, Heritage and Seniors committees.
The Wellington County Library Board is responsible for setting policies for the governance and operation of the Wellington County Public Library system, in accordance with the Public Libraries Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.44.
“On behalf of Wellington County Council and staff, I’d like to congratulate Councillor Mary Lloyd on being elected Library Board Chair,” said Warden Andy Lennox. “Councillor Llyod is incredibly passionate about public libraries and has served on the board for 5 years. I know she’ll continue to serve the community well in this continued role.”
The Wellington County Library system consists of 14 branches located in communities across the County.
