Emerging Insights Student Art Exhibition Returns to Wellington County Museum and Archives

Aboyne, ON – Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) is proud to host the second annual Emerging Insights juried exhibition, celebrating the creative voices of secondary school artists from across the Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB).

Emerging Insights showcases the imagination, skill, and originality of local youth. Local artists Eric Allen Montgomery and Phil Irish served as jurors for this year’s show, selecting 25 outstanding artworks from over 100 submissions. Students from Wellington County, Dufferin County, and the City of Guelph are represented in the show, including artists from Centre Wellington District High School, Norwell District Secondary School, and Wellington Heights Secondary School.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Thursday, May 28 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the WCMA. The evening will include live music, refreshments, and an awards presentation sponsored by the Wellington County Museum and Archives, the Elora Fergus Arts Council, and generous private donors.

Emerging Insights runs at the Wellington County Museum and Archives from May 28 until September 30, 2026. Admission is by donation.
