Waste Facilities

Elora Waste Facility Site Temporarily CLOSING for paving work

The Elora Waste Facility site will be closing temporarily during the week of May 11 through May 15 for final paving work. The site will reopen on Saturday May 16.

During this time the Belwood Waste Facility will temporarily open for the week, Tuesday May 11 through to Saturday May 16 only.

Our five transfer stations and one active landfill site are available to all residents and businesses in the County of Wellington (excludes City of Guelph residents).

A transfer station may take almost any material that a landfill will take, but in smaller quantities that will fit in a pickup truck or small utility trailer. Site attendants have the authority to turn loads away that are too large for their facility to accommodate.
