The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) of Wellington County in partnership with the Minto Chamber of Commerce, Mapleton Chamber of Commerce, Mount Forest Chamber of Commerce, and Arthur Chamber of Commerce, will be holding a Fraud Prevention Information Session this month. If you or your colleagues, friends, family members, or anyone else you know has heard about or been the victim of a fraud or scam, the OPP is encouraging you to join them, share your experiences, and learn from each other as a community.
At this in-person Fraud Prevention Information Session, learn how to recognize, reject, and report fraud, both the old and new tricks. Fraud is preventable, and it’s easier to recognize, reject, and report it when we work together, and learn from an experienced OPP constable on the matter! Knowledge is your best defense. Let’s stop fraud together!
