Wellington County, Ont. – Wellington County is reopening its Tourism Experience Development Programme, continuing its commitment to supporting innovative, high-quality visitor experiences across the county.
Following strong interest in 2025, the programme offers grants of up to $3,000 to help tourism businesses, organizations, and event organizers develop or enhance market-ready experiences that highlight Wellington County’s natural beauty, local food, culture, and rural charm.
“Wellington County is becoming an increasingly popular destination for visitors” said Wellington County Warden, Chris White, who also serves as Chair of Wellington Waterloo Community Futures. “By supporting local businesses in developing new and enhanced experiences, we’re encouraging visitors to explore more of our distinct communities and extend their stay beyond traditional tourism hotspots.”
The programme prioritizes projects that promote Wellington County as a destination through seasonal and year-round experiences and encourage exploration of the County’s rural communities. Collaborative and experience-based initiatives are strongly encouraged.
Applications will be accepted online starting May 5, 2026. Funding is available for projects taking place between June 1, 2026 and March 15, 2027.
Eligible applicants include tourism businesses, non-profit organizations, and event organizers located in Wellington County.
More information about the programme, including eligibility criteria and application details, is available at www.wwcf.ca/wctourismgrant or by contacting the County of Wellington’s Economic Development Office.
The grant programme is presented by the County of Wellington in partnership with Wellington Waterloo Community Futures, Saugeen Economic Development Corporation, and RTO4.
