Supporting Local Growth and Prosperity in Wellington County

The County of Wellington Economic Development division leads and participates in activities that grow, develop, and promote Wellington County. This includes:

  1. Leading countywide initiatives such as tourism, workforce development, business retention and expansion (BR&E), community improvement funding, and transit.
  2. Advancing international investment attraction in collaboration with provincial, federal, and regional partners. 
  3. Aligning local priorities with broader regional initiatives, including participation in groups such as the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus.
  4. Supporting initiatives that exceed local capacity or are better delivered at a regional scale.

Our Economic Development initiatives are focused on fostering a thriving local economy and positioning Wellington County as a premier place to live, work, and invest.
