Programme Support

The Early Years Professional Resource Centre (EYPRC) provides ongoing support to child care programmes in the community. Each programme is connected with a dedicated EYPRC team member who builds an ongoing relationship with the programme and provides support based on the needs of its team.

How we can support your programme?

Your dedicated EYPRC team member can provide:

  • Mentorship: Collaborative, relationship-based support that builds on the knowledge, skills and strengths already within your team.
  • In-Programme Professional Learning: Professional learning tailored to your programme’s areas of focus, delivered during staff meetings or at another pre-arranged time.
  • Resources and Connections: Access to helpful resources and connections with other professionals, such as Resource Consultants, CMHA Mental Health Consultants and KidsAbility, when additional learning or consultation may be helpful.

Areas we can explore together

On a programme level, we can reflect and take action together on these areas of focus:

  • Routines and Transitions
  • Programme Planning
  • Child Development
  • Pedagogical Observation and Documentation
  • Play-Based Learning
  • Family, Educator and Child Relationships and Communication
  • Children’s Behaviour
  • Team Dynamics and Communication
  • Learning Environments
  • Materials and Learning Experiences

Working and learning together

EYPRC team members work alongside early years programme staff, supervisors and owners to support learning and strengthen the relationships between children, educators, families and learning environments.

Our approach is guided by the principles of How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.
