Job Description
Thinking about starting your own home child care business? Or transitioning to the licensed sector? At Wellington Home Child Care we understand that each Home Child Care Provider has unique skills and experiences to offer. As a self-employed Home Child Care Provider, you will determine your programme's operating hours and child care placements. In addition, Wellington Home Child Care offers:
- inclusion on a public access list of available child care for all families
- enrollment in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care System (CWELCC), with direct payments of CWELCC system funds
- access to Provincial Home Child Care Enhancement Grant
- enhanced daily rate for Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) - conditions apply
- ongoing support from a RECE, plus additional resources and training opportunities
- access to service agencies to assist you in providing child care for children with disabilities or special needs
Job Requirements
- Experience with young children - as a parent, caregiver, previous employment, volunteering, etc.
- Willing to obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check for all members of the household over 18 years of age
- Willing to obtain Standard First Aid and CPR level C (Infant and Child) training
- Premise must be smoke free
- Up-to-date immunizations for all residents of the home
- Appropriate areas for indoor and outdoor play, sleeping, eating, toileting/diapering
