Fergus, Ont. – The Trade Tracks Showcase will be returning to Fergus on April 25-26, providing a unique opportunity for students, apprentices, job seekers, and industry professionals to explore career pathways, gain insights into apprenticeship programmes, and connect with leading employers in the skilled trades sector.
The free event will give attendees access to hands-on demonstrations, networking opportunities, and resources that will help them navigate the transition between education and employment.
“This event is about building strong connections between those who train, those who hire, and those who aspire to build careers in the trades,” said Carl Gray, CEO of the Trade Tracks nonprofit organization. “With the increasing demand for skilled workers, it is more important than ever to ensure that apprentices and tradespeople have access to the right resources and support.”
Highlights of the Trade Tracks showcase include:
- Exhibits from leading employers, trade schools, and government organizations,
- Information on apprenticeship programmes, funding, and career opportunities,
- Live demonstrations of trade skills and techniques,
- Opportunities to network with industry experts and potential employers.
The showcase has been designed to connect employers, educational institutions, government agencies, and community stakeholders involved in training the next generation of skilled tradespeople. This year’s showcase will take place on April 25 (10:00 a.m – 4:00 p.m) and April 26 (10:00 a.m – 2:00 p.m.) at the Fairgrounds of the Centre Wellington Sports Complex in Fergus.

The Trade Tracks showcase is open to students, job seekers, educators, employers, and anyone interested in learning more about the skilled trades. Admission to the event is free.
