Goderich, ON- Today, at the Western Ontario Warden’s (WOWC) Annual General Meeting, Warden Andy Lennox was elected Vice Chair.
The WOWC is a not-for-profit organization representing 15 upper and single tier municipalities in approximately 300 communities. The WOWC is a united front in Ontario representing over 20% of the population.
The current priorities of the WOWC include:
- Affordable and Attainable Housing
- Workforce Development
- Broadband Infrastructure Investment and Advocacy
- Mental Health and Addictions
“I’m honoured to have been elected Vice-Chair of the Western Ontario Warden’s Caucus,” said Warden Andy Lennox. “I look forward to continuing the WOWC’s important work for Wellington County and Ontario.”
The WOWC also advocates to the Government of Ontario and Government of Canada on behalf of the member counties on key issues, such as:
- Infrastructure
- Transportation
- Long Term Care
- Broadband
- Economic Development
