Wellington County is Hosting Its First Multicultural Festival

Aboyne, Ont. – The County of Wellington is gearing up for its first Multicultural Festival on September 23 at the Wellington County Museum and Archives. The event is a celebration of diverse people, cultures, and communities. Residents and visitors are invited to come together to celebrate food, music, dance, and art from a variety of cultures.

“We believe our cultural diversity is a valuable asset uniting and strengthening our community here in Wellington County,” states Jeff Duncan, Wellington County Economic Development Committee Chair. “The Multicultural Festival promises to be an immersive experience that highlights the shared values of our vibrant community.”

The family-friendly event features a diverse lineup of cultural dances and performances, with many activities and displays for the whole family and culinary experiences from around the globe.

“We are excited to host our first Multicultural Festival in Wellington County,” says Anuradha Dam, Economic Development Project Coordinator for Wellington County. “The event aims to increase cross-cultural engagement, create space to rejoice and celebrate the charm of cultures and customs of the past, present, and new communities moving into the County.”
