Wellington County Hosting Public Open House for Wellington Road 46 Road Study

Puslinch, Ont.- The County of Wellington is inviting residents and road users to attend a Public Open House for the Wellington Road 46 (Brock Road South) Road Study on Tuesday, November 3.

The study is examining Wellington Road 46 through Aberfoyle from Wellington Road 34 to Gilmour Road.  The study was initiated in response to the Township of Puslinch advocating for changes to the road to improve road safety and address business concerns. The County retained Dillon Consulting Limited to evaluate a range of potential options for the road. Alternatives considered include maintaining the existing four travel lanes, introducing traffic-calming measures, and reconfiguring the roadway to three travel lanes with on-street parking.

“The Wellington Road 46 corridor is an important route for residents, businesses and people travelling through Aberfoyle,” said Gregg Davidson, Roads Committee Chair. “This study has allowed us to carefully consider different approaches to improving safety and managing traffic through the community. We encourage residents and road users to attend the Open House, learn more about the preferred solution and share their feedback with the project team.”
